Description
Easter is a very exciting time, especially for the little ones! A favorite family tradition passed down in our family throughout the generations is decorating Easter eggs in colorful designs and filling them with candy and money for the little children to go find on a Easter Egg Hunt! In the Easter baskets, the children also find their favorite Easter candy, like a chocolate Easter bunny, Brach's jellybeans, and the traditional Peeps (marshmallow candy) in the shape of baby chicks to name a few!
The addition of Easter eggs to America is thought to have started around the 17th Century by the Germans in Pennsylvania! There is also special religious significance, as the egg symbolizes the emergence of Jesus from the tomb in the Ressurrection! Also, since the egg, along with other dairy items and chocolate have been foods that were typically forbidden in the season of Lent, it is considered a special treat to have eggs on Resurrection Day, or Easter!

Thanks so much, Nick! I really appreciate you being the first to comment on my new artwork for Easter! I was trying to go for a look found in a type of jewelry bead that used to be readily available--Cloisonné (decorative enamel work)! I am thrilled that you like it! Thanks so much for being the first to comment on it! I really appreciate your support!
