Description
This photograph was taken in bright sunlight of my bathroom window I did in stained glass that overlooks my Victorian garden! It was inspired by an old Victorian design. The stems look like they are kind of looping and scrolling around three flowers in the center. The flowers are grouped together loosely in the center like a bouquet. This would make a bright and lovely design for an Easter card!

Thanks, Will, for the compliment! I did this stained glass work years ago before my children were born! It still adorns one of our windows in the old house in the Foothills of the Smoky Mountains! Thanks for your appreciation!

Thanks, Kathy! I worked hard on this design...cutting and placing all of these multiple pieces of glass together, but my sweet hubbie, who is an awesome solderer, soldered the pieces together for me! Additionally, he made a frame for this piece of an exquisite walnut wood to fit into our bathroom window perfectly! I love it, too, because it brings me a lot of joy every time I see the sun's rays shining though it! Thanks for the compliment and your support!

Thanks, Graciela, for appreciating this Victorian design with a touch of Art Nouveau with me! I love looking at combinations of symmetry and spirals paired with some free form! I love to pick up elements from different styles to get one that is truly unique! Graciela, I really enjoy looking at this stained glass window in my home, especially when the sunlight shines through it! There is something magical about the way light behaves when it is refracted through glass! What is interesting, is to stand back and study how the light behaves depending on the color and the opaqueness or transparency of the glass! Naturally, the more transparent the glass, the more light will shine through that part of the glass! I like to think of the human heart the same way, the more transparent and pure, the more others can see the "Light" and beauty in it--just a poetic thought...

Lovely capture Kimberlee! Love this beautiful stained glass work! I have also done stained glass works, as well as a lot of Tiffany glass works.
Kimberlee Baxter replied:
Thank you, Veikko. I love your work! It has a special magic to it--all of your beautiful, enchanting paintings! You are a great artist and photographer, so I am not surprised that you can also do stained glass. I love the light qualities that only working with glass can achieve! When the rays of sunlight shine through it, especially in a church, it makes me feel like it is a spiritual experience--God transcending the light of his love through the glass!
