Description
A blue dragonfly's form is illuminated when it is nightfall, and the way that the moonlight's rays are hitting it, make it look almost "electrified"! In this painting, I tried to show a lot of contrast--light and dark intensities of color, which not only make for a more interesting composition, but also help the dragonfly to stand out more! This is a cropped and edited version of my original painting of this dragonfly work. I wanted to put the spotlight on mainly the wings of this amazing creature, so I cropped it down to show mostly just its wings and part of its body! This makes for a very interesting take on the dragonfly in a more abstract version!
