Description
It is midnight, and somewhere deep in the valley of the mountains, an owl is keeping watch, or is it just a dream? I keep dreaming that I hear the hooting of an owl amid the soft muffled night sounds! It is calling my mind to make a journey out into the cold, out into the snow. I lie awake wishing I could go to sleep, but like this owl, I, too, feel like somehow my mind should keep watch!
This painting was done with the help of a very talented artist on the FAA website, Glen Gray! Please stop by his website and check out his amazing art! The website is: http://fineartamerica.com/profiles/glen-gray.html

Kimberlee, you have the ability to take a cold winters day and turn it into something warm and beautiful. This painting is a prime example....my dear, you pick up more gold....L/V

Lovely winter scene, Kimberlee! I especially like the effect of the moonlight on the mountain and snow, and the little owl in the foreground - L/F!

Stunning piece Kimberlee, adore the mellow crossover of blues and yellow. The edge softening also set the scene for a cold winters night on watch. F/L

Thank you so much, Chris! I really am glad that you like my snow scene! Recently, we had a Baxter reunion and auctioned this painting off to help pay for the family cemetery fund to help take care of our ancestors' grave-sites and for the future sites as well!

Thank you, Kathy! This was a fun painting, but this little owl was hard to do because of how small he is! I had to get a special magnifying light to see what I was doing--one of the joys of getting older, I guess! Thanks for appreciating my winter scene along with me! I hope you have a great weekend!
