Description
A beautiful Monarch butterfly has just completed a long journey and is in search of food when it sees a bright pink and purple Hollyhock flower to light upon! This flower is no ordinary flower, as it is in the shape of a teacup! It makes the perfect flower to make a feast of the sweet nectar from and have a royal "Butterfly Teacup Party"!

Thank you so much, Debbie, for your appreciation of this work! The idea of this painting is original and mine...I painted it for a very dear friend of mine for her birthday whose name is Freya! I really had fun doing it! It was my first flower painting! Thanks for your great support

Thanks, Chris! I appreciate your comment and support! Yes, this is a cropped version of the painting I did in acrylics of Hollyhock flowers with two Monarch butterflies! This is my favorite part of the painting!

Thanks so much, Wayne! I am usually inspired to paint for someone who is dear to me or on behalf of a charity! I feel driven and focused with that purpose of mind! I painted this for a dear Christian friend of mine! I chose the Hollyhock Flowerhead to paint, because it has a five-pointed star created by the shape of the inside of the Flowerhead (with the green petals)! The five-pointed star is associated with the "Star of Bethlehem" that led the wise men to the birth of Jesus in Bethlehem! So, this painting has a lot of symbolic meaning for Christians! Thanks so much for your support! I love your work, Wayne!
