Description
A grasshopper (reminds me of a male) is clinging to the underside of a leaf under the canopy of pink flowers (Zinnias) and appears to be courting a female. If you maximize the image and look closely on his face, it looks like he is wearing a coy smile, or almost a grin, or even a smirk! I find humor on a daily basis in nature, and found this expression on this grasshopper humorous, so that is why I gave this work a name that I am sure that males can identify with!
I captured this grasshopper on a leaf while visiting my mother-in-law, Peggy's, beautiful meadow garden in the early Fall and wanted to share with garden lovers.
