Dragonfly Hunt for Food in the Flowerhead
Artist
Kimberlee Baxter
Medium
Painting - Acrylic
Description
Blue dragonfly is lighting upon a blue flower in search of any insect prey. What will it find? A mosquito, a bee, or even a butterfly drinking the nectar from the flower. The dragonfly blends into the background so perfectly that is well camouflaged from predators, insuring that "the hunter" won't become, in turn, "the hunted"!
This painting, along with a few others, will be donated to a very dear friend of mine who recently lost her lovely daughter Jamilia to Leukemia! We hope to raise awareness and money to help fight this terrible disease that afflicts little children, as well as young adults! Our hearts are very heavy with her untimely passing! You can visit her website at http://curejamilianow.webs.com/
