Description
"If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, 'Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.'" --John7:37-38 (ESV)
As the above scripture indicates, the only True Source of the type of water that Jesus is referring to here is the WORD that is received in the heart (made ready by the Holy Spirit) and that takes root; whereby, Jesus becomes for you the Mediator to God ("For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus."-- I Timothy 2:5, NIV). Thus, we are made heirs to God by choosing to follow Christ and His teachings (Romans 8:17)!
The bible tells us this is the only way we can truly become the sons and daughters of God (II Corinthians 6:18) in a spiritual sense is when we chose to accept Christ who, in turn, becomes the sacrificial lamb, or the Atonement for Our Sins. If we chose, however, to continue in sin by rejecting "the Living Waters" (For Jesus says: "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." John 14:6, NIV), then we chose also to not accept the Gift of Eternal Salvation. The outcome is that we will die spiritually! The Good News is that if we will accept Jesus Christ as our Personal Savior, we can claim our inheritance and have Hope in receiving Eternal Salvation, where there is only life and the abundance there of!
"Finding the Living Waters"--a work inspired by Chris Flees' strikingly beautiful photograph of a photo of Glade Creek Grist Mill (also known as Cooper's Mill--completed in 1976), which is located in Babcock State Park in Fayette County, West Virginia.
Background Info about Chris Flees:
Chris began pursuing his passion for photography at the early age of 13. For going on nearly 30 years now, he has been in search of that perfect image! His subjects are about life and nature. His overall mission in that pursuit is, ultimately, to glorify all that is from God, or "God's gifts", as he puts it!
