Artist's Description
The word "weeping" or "to weep", or in the past tense, "wept" is mentioned 64 times in the Bible! Additionally, there are 240 times this word occurs in the Thesaurus (my second favorite book)! What is it about this word that draws in our complete attention and even evokes emotion in most of us? The idea is that this is not just weak emotion, but suggests emotion that is so strong, that involves the whole body and the whole heart in either weeping tears of sorrow, or tears of joy. In other words, our admiration or appreciation for a full commitment of intensity of emotion to be so strong as to "drench" or "soak" or even "immerse" one in it, a kind of "All in it, or nothing" approach is duly noted in our Human Nature!

About Kimberlee Baxter
Before I had my two children, I worked selling furniture and helping people to decorate their homes--my first passion--interior decorating/design and art! Before I went back to my first passion, I worked for a variety of non-profits and government sponsored programs--including AmeriCorps (domestic version of the PeaceCorps), D.H.S., and the University of TN. Before working in the non-profits, I attended the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and really enjoyed being politically active with a group that addressed socio-economic injustices! As a result, I decided to major in Political Science and Anthropology. Studying about different cultures, its art, and political systems has always fascinated me! I think that we can learn a...

Thanks so much, Tessa! I love the rainbow, too, which is a symbol, to me, of life after death communication, or an angelic message from a loved one (along with winged creatures like butterflies, dragonflies, and certain birds like eagles and Cardinals)!
