Description
The word "weeping" or "to weep", or in the past tense, "wept" is mentioned 64 times in the Bible! Additionally, there are 240 times this word occurs in the Thesaurus (my second favorite book)! What is it about this word that draws in our complete attention and even evokes emotion in most of us? The idea is that this is not just weak emotion, but suggests emotion that is so strong, that involves the whole body and the whole heart in either weeping tears of sorrow, or tears of joy. In other words, our admiration or appreciation for a full commitment of intensity of emotion to be so strong as to "drench" or "soak" or even "immerse" one in it, a kind of "All in it, or nothing" approach is duly noted in our Human Nature!
This is a twist on the original "Weeping Iris" series in that it reflects the colors of the rainbow, or the promise or the covenant that God has made to never to flood the earth again. The only time it naturally occurs is after a rain, symbolic to trials and tribulations in our life. So, with the Rainbow, comes Hope and Renewal!

Thanks so much, Tessa! I love the rainbow, too, which is a symbol, to me, of life after death communication, or an angelic message from a loved one (along with winged creatures like butterflies, dragonflies, and certain birds like eagles and Cardinals)!
