English Standard Version I Cor. 10:13
No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.
English Standard Version Matthew 24:21
For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, and never will be.
I fear that great tribulation is coming very soon for all Christians across the globe, even those living here in America! That is why I thought about creating a work that could invoke the imagination and the senses into envisioning visiting a special place that could allow you to "escape" when in great times of need! This escape may not be possible in actuality, so you must find a way to release your mind and let your imagination find the way! I share a personal story of triumph over fear to illustrate my point and to help light the w...
Before I had my two children, I worked selling furniture and helping people to decorate their homes--my first passion--interior decorating/design and art! Before I went back to my first passion, I worked for a variety of non-profits and government sponsored programs--including AmeriCorps (domestic version of the PeaceCorps), D.H.S., and the University of TN. Before working in the non-profits, I attended the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and really enjoyed being politically active with a group that addressed socio-economic injustices! As a result, I decided to major in Political Science and Anthropology. Studying about different cultures, its art, and political systems has always fascinated me! I think that we can learn a...

Very powerful image and testimony, Kimberlee! I LOVE the sky!! WOW! And the butterflies lead your eye to reading at the tree. Your strategy of surviving your traumatic event was amazing, and so true about how to calm fears. By focusing on those happy things and calming your mind, it calmed the fight or flight response of the body. Thank you for sharing! l/f

What an incredible testimony, Kimberlee. This immediately caught my eye. The sky breathes serenity The colors and composition are rich and soothing. Wonderfully done. Thank you for the description... I went there to understand your intent. F/L
Kimberlee Baxter replied:
Thank you so much, Maria, for being among the first to comment on my new work! I am glad you like the sky; after working hours on it, I was pleased with how it turned out. I wanted this composition to be inviting and be a place of calm, peace, and serenity. Following the blue butterflies along a path, one can rest a bit under the coolness of a Mediterranean pine tree and begin to think more clearly. I wanted to share my personal story to help others! I once felt compelled years ago to tell a very close friend this story, and little did she know that she would have to undergo a similar situation! Sometimes, stories shared by our friends can come back to us like "Angel Messages"...reminding us what we need to do in an instance, or in difficult situations! Thanks you, Maria, for your kind comment and support! I love your gallery as well!
