Captivated by the brilliance of the Fall foliage, I have studied this grove of trees near my house over the last few weeks. I love the way dappled sunlight is captured on the tree tops and canopy of trees and settles on the shape of the leaves to highlight them so gloriously! I have had the privilege of watching deer cross pass this road many times and could easily picture them here--blending into the background, so I added a White-tailed buck (from a previous painting) carefully watching over a doe leaned over to sniff the ground in front of him.
