This work is about recognizing and appreciating the difference between our fair-weathered friends, or acquaintances, and our true friends--one is there for only the good times in our lives, while the latter, will be there for ALL the times--good or bad! Here's celebrating the true friends we couldn't live without, and even if we could muddle through life without them, we wouldn't want too, because that would greatly diminish the joy that we can only experience through the true magic of friendship.
This is a mixed media work that combines an acrylic painting of a background and a drawing of Eastern Blue birds nesting in a wooden handmade birdhouse. The inspirational message is my own and comes from the heart!
Before I had my two children, I worked selling furniture and helping people to decorate their homes--my first passion--interior decorating/design and art! Before I went back to my first passion, I worked for a variety of non-profits and government sponsored programs--including AmeriCorps (domestic version of the PeaceCorps), D.H.S., and the University of TN. Before working in the non-profits, I attended the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and really enjoyed being politically active with a group that addressed socio-economic injustices!
