A honeybee is resting from drinking nectar from some daisy flowers. It appears from the position of its body, head and legs to be "resting", almost as if it is in a yoga pose like the "Child's Pose"! Michael, thank you so much of your thoughtful comment! What I had in mind when I created this work for my best friend, was to trick the eye into thinking that the bee is slightly enlevated at an angle and higher than the flowers to the left! I am glad that I was able to achieve enough visual interest in this work to hold the viewer's attention long enough to want to study the painting in its entirety! Thank you for your generous comment and your support! I really enjoy your work as well!
