Years ago, before my daughter was born (middle name "Rose"), I designed a Victorain garden to be viewed from right outside my second story window. The Rose Dancer statue and the Angel fountain greet the bluebirds and other winged creatures who come to visit. However, the multicolored palette of flowers that resemble a meadow garden as shown here are inspired from the beautiful flowers of my mother-in-law, Peggy. The winding stone pathway is symbolic of life and invites us to continue our exploration with its serpentine form. I hope that painting evokes a feeling of joy, peace, and calm as you meditate upon the magic of a Victorian Garden!
Before I had my two children, I worked selling furniture and helping people to decorate their homes--my first passion--interior decorating/design and art! Before I went back to my first passion, I worked for a variety of non-profits and government sponsored programs--including AmeriCorps (domestic version of the PeaceCorps), D.H.S., and the University of TN. Before working in the non-profits, I attended the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and really enjoyed being politically active with a group that addressed socio-economic injustices!
