Description
Texas"...the "Lone Star" State. This state is rightly named as no other state can rival its rugged beauty! Prickly Pear Cactuses dot the gently rolling hills and flat terrain amongst some of the happiest and brightest fields of wildflowers. No earthly artist can even come close, in my opinion, to rivaling the amazing palette that naturally occurs all in one state!
The Texas state flower is the Bluebonnet, which every spring blossoms and delights the eye with its deep and rich blues and whites! Added to this already breath-taking pop of color are the rugged and wind-shaped, twisted branches of trees that take on a sort of magical look in a field of these brightly colored flowers! Look up overhead while standing in one of these fields in Springtime and see an array of wispy clouds in a bright blue sky float overhead...you'll become heady and dizzy with delight, but wait, there's more; watch the sunrise and set in just one of these fields, and you'll think you have died and gone to heaven! Yes, Texas is the state I was born in and though I have roamed all over the Southeastern region of the United States, I keep coming back to these scenes in my memory....this is the part of Texas I can never leave behind (hence, the title)!
