Description
The proper name for day lilies is Hemerocallis. According to the Hemerocallis Society, the word Hemerocallis is derived from two Greek words meaning "beauty" and "day," referring to the fact that each flower lasts only one day. It is interesting to note that the day lily is overwintered as a bulb in a cool dark place. In other words, it completely dies back in the winter, and then makes its bright and memorable appearance for one day.
A mother's love is something that can not be bought--there is no price tag to it! The power of the kind of love that can only come from a mother is a power that can warm the heart and take any day full of gloom and make it so much brighter! This work serves as a tribute to all mothers--not just for "One Day", but for each and every day!
