Description
When our friends and those we love or care about get hurt, we can't help but empathize with them and share their pain! When innocent lives are taken through barbaric acts of terrorism, we can't help but feel sorrow and grief for those whose lives have been negatively impacted! The people of the United States of America mourn the lives that were lost and extend our condolences to the survivors who have experienced injury or loss of loved ones from the most recent terrorist attacks in France and in Brussels!
Background to work:
So much of our lives can not be described by words...there are emotions so raw and so intense, that we can't just get up to the surface of our consciousness and put mere words to! Sometimes, the capacity of our human suffering is so great, that we can only let the remorse and grief wash over us in waves--there it is--coming down like rain; can you feel it? Falling down in streams of water, can you see it NOW?
This is the way I feel every day when I read about "Man's Inhumaity to Man"! All the violence--executions, beatings, rapes and oppression of women, sex trafficking and human slavery in our modern era--get me down and drain me emotionally and physically! Daily, I pray for the Great Creator to wash away our pain and sorrow and put real peace, tolerance, and love in the hearts of all men and women! I pray for, like the RAIN, renewal of the heart, spirit, and mind!
