I captured this lovely rose in Grandma's Garden while the bees buzzed around and the butterflies flittered about on a bright sunshiny day! The kids played in her beautiful garden while the sunshine bathed them with light...it was a glorious day! While I was walking in Grandma's Garden, I happened to notice a single rose, an English Rose in fact, that stood out among a cluster of them that had three closed buds forming around it! I was immediately struck by the shape and beauty of this rose and wanted to offer it here on the FAA Website in both the original color that I call "Petal Pink", or a "Blush" like the rosy color of a Blush wine or champagne! I also offer this image in a "Vintage" version, which is reminiscent of the 1940's, as well as what I call "Metropolitan", or in white with a black or darkened background! This would be simple and elegant for any wedding decor, cards, or invitations!
Before I had my two children, I worked selling furniture and helping people to decorate their homes--my first passion--interior decorating/design and art! Before I went back to my first passion, I worked for a variety of non-profits and government sponsored programs--including AmeriCorps (domestic version of the PeaceCorps), D.H.S., and the University of TN. Before working in the non-profits, I attended the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and really enjoyed being politically active with a group that addressed socio-economic injustices!
