Description
A green frog looks as if he is "testing the waters" by sticking his tongue out! Actually, he is trying to catch some food! Perhaps, it is a mosquito or some other pesky insect. Frogs are good natural predator of pests like mosquitos.

Thank you, Ryan, for your thoughtful and generous comment! This work is part of an original painting I did depicting how in a healthy aquatic environment, chemicals are not needed to take care of pesky insects like the mosquito! So, in the original, he has his tongue out and is ready to snatch up the mosquito, but there is competition in getting the annoying insect...please see the original! Ryan, I like to play around and experiment in showing the viewer different ways to view the art that I paint, and how that same artwork differs greatly when you change the perspective or angle you are viewing it from, or POV! Thanks for enjoying it with me and your great support!

A splendid conceptual Kimberlee. The composition leads to a question; what is the hunter hunting? Maybe he is tongue tied, or maybe he bit off more than he could chew. Quirky in style, beautiful in execution. Well done! F/L

Thank you, Genevieve! I always enjoy visits from you, especially! Your paintings are so bright, cheerful and well executed, that they bring joy to my heart as well! I would love to get back to doing stained glass again, and when I do, I would be willing to pay for a license to use your artwork in some stained glass creations, if that would be agreeable to you! Better yet, you could commission or put together a pattern book to use some of your works for stained glass pieces and I would buy the book...food for thought! Thank you for helping to make my day! I appreciate your kind words and your support!

So love the detail and gorgeous mix of colors in this wonderful painting of this charming frog you created here Kimberlee! Your paintings are so clever and thoughtful. They tell a story and bring joy to my heart when I view them. I can see this painting as beautiful stained glass and shining brightly in my window! Love it! v/f
