Description
Description for "Butterfly Sunday":
In addition to being a professional for a national charitable organization, Bob Wayne Mullins is a devoted photographer who is on a mission to find that perfect shot in nature, places, people, or things! It is in one of his numerous galleries that I found the "Flowers and Plants" photos and fell in love with one in particular, "Butterfly Sunday"! I was so thrilled when Bob Mullins gave me permission to paint this beautiful capture! Here is the Description found on his website: A photograph of a Black and Blue Monarch Butterfly sucking the Nectar from a Sunflower, was shot in Western North Carolina near Lake Junaluska. Many know it as the United Methodist Conference Center. The black against the yellow looks like that of a summer dress blowing in the wind. This image is available in print, canvas or framed. His website on Fine Art America.com is: http://fineartamerica.com/profiles/b-wayne-mullins.html
Now, you can also find "Butterfly Sunday" here on my website in a painting form! Both Bob and I are excited to offer you this beautiful image for your enjoyment!

Thank you, Matthew! You are so very kind! I guess that my style of painting here with this sunflower has a bit of wispiness and fluidity that can often be seen in Van Gogh's impressionistic style! If Van Gogh looked at the world like I do, he saw a realm beyond just the physical and into the spiritual or metaphysical! When I look at our world, I sense that everything has a bit of energy (given from the Creator) and is, in a poetic sense, "bursting forth with its own song or music"!
